Media Reflection 1
At the beginning of course I never gave media any thought. It was alway just face value to me, what I saw on the screen was what it was and that was it. However since the development of the course has picked up pace it’s slowly started to change my comprehension and the way I view media entirely. Not just my view on media but when I consume media I’ve actually caught myself analyzing the detail more and appreciating some of the works a little more than I used to. Before I used to think making a short film would be quick and easy, quickly I found out how quality takes time and there are even individuals who have just one job to make sure one small aspect is covered. I always skipped the credits because it was the long boring part at the end of the movie although currently I’m not yet at the point to sit through and read every single name I have grown to share appreciation towards those who put so much effort into the movie. Currently I’m about to be working on starting a short 2 minutes or less production with my table group, with all aspects learned and to learn I know more likely than not we won’t get the best take the first time around however I know we will only grow from that and will be able to learn adapt and create new avenues for success.
I’d also like to take time to set out goals as we turn a new page into the second quarter of the class. So far I’ve done good with keeping up however I’d like to see myself improve on implementing media related vocabulary into my dialect to not only help me become more family with the words but also get used to the terminology. Along with this during my next group project I’d like for me and my group to show a little more effort into the planning portion. As we did a good project this quarter I don’t mean to be picky but after seeing other present it was noticeable that those who did a detailed plan had a better idea on the final outcome they wanted for there picture and I hope to follow and become successful doing the same.
